Advice on redundancy
With companies throughout our industry cutting costs significantly, many professionals are facing the prospect of redundancy or forced job change for the first time in their career. From PCR's experience in previous recessions, we think we're well positioned to offer practical advice and support, which we hope will help you find your next opportunity sooner rather than later.
We've put together some information on key topics that we think should be helpful to your search. It should be relevant to both first time job seekers and senior executives. Much of what we cover is just practical advice on doing the basics well, so we apologise in advance if at times it seems a little simplistic - however, as most of us have never had any formal coaching on how to find work effectively, we've tried to lay it out in layman's terms.
We've created a simple 15 question scorecard that will help you gauge how thorough your current job search approach is. It should also help point you to areas of this advice section that could be most beneficial for you. Click here to complete the score card.
If you have any questions that aren't covered by this material or suggestions on how we might improve it, then we'd be really pleased hear from you. Email mark.abbott@pcrweb.co.uk
