An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Broadcast Production Manager to join a growing London based TV Channel.
You will be a highly motivated leader with a strong background in television, strategic planning and management. Must have solid overall experience in Media ideally including creative and technical.
This individual will need to have strong television production skills, understanding formats, concepts, promos and marketing. Responsible for line management of the Production crew.
- Oversee all broadcast and production activities to make sure that resources are efficiently allocated to meet the demands of the live shopping channel.
- Oversee the recruitment, development and motivation of staff to ensure that suitably qualified and skilled resources are available to provide efficient and effective services.
- Make sure the team operates within policies, working standards and practices in line with OFCOM requirements. Ensure Producers are ASA and OFCOM compliant, that they understand current sales broadcasting regulations sufficiently to protect the business legally
- Advise and lead the business in all aspects of broadcasting, legal requirements, technical and channel marketing.
- Build and lead, manage and inspire a team using a participative style as the norm, ensuring that a culture is developed and sustained that is conducive to team working, continuous improvement and learning.
- Offer full training to Producers and analyses their sales data to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses for future improvement
- To work with budgets set by the business.
- To make monthly sales graphs and reports, to present this data in a comprehensive and well detailed manner.
- Overseeing Production (covering any absences/ holiday cover etc)Line management of the Production
- Distributing/compiling any relevant info/ strategies for production crew (including VT lists, tape library, power promo dates to air etc)
- Overtime costing and administration of department budgets
- Liaison with Promo Company in terms of promotions / promotional campaigns. Keeping and maintaining any administration/ paper work relevant to this area
- Dealing with day to day queries/ issues from all departments relating to production department
- Ensuring that all sales promotions are set up correctly with production/retail and call centre/customer services.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
- Strong understanding of high quality TV on air and broadcasting content.
- Must have an eye for detail and know how and what can make money from a visual point of view.
- Understand all Ofcom regulations and guide lines.
- A key team player and have very strong track record in live Broadcast television.
- Must understand how each department contributes to the channel set up.
- They will need excellent team building and motivation skills.
- Good organisational skills and problem solving.
