| Description: | Senior Interface Developer / Front End Web Developer We have an opportunity to join an excellent team of lively, friendly, smart and enthusiastic web developers in a leading digital agency to work on some great projects with their outstanding client base. We are looking for a senior front end web developer who is passionate about semantic mark-up, progressive enhancement and standards-based development and who has JavaScript skills that make you stand out from the crowd. You'll also be an excellent communicator as you will be involved in client meetings and hopefully build good working relationships with them. You will also work closely with the more junior developers and mentor and share your thoughts with the rest of the team. We'll expect you to have: • Expert knowledge of JavaScript (OOP programming, DOM manipulation, AJAX, design patterns) • Expert knowledge of XHTML 1 and cross browser CSS as well as HTML 5 and CSS3 • Strong understanding of accessibility; both standards and the patterns and the approach used to enable web access for all users, irrespective of browsing technology • You should have thorough knowledge of JQuery but also be able write code without the support of a library • Familiarity with server-side integration and knowledge of least one major content management system • Proven experience of line management and mentoring • Knowledge of front-end development for mobile will be very desirable It is a great working environment, very collaborative and open, where you will be working with different project members on a daily basis and your input and knowledge will be key in the delivery of outstanding products for their clients. You will have contact with the clients at the initial development stage but also through ongoing technical consultancy.
